And almost half of U.S. mobile phone owners have a smartphone. Because most smartphones have good quality cameras, sites like Instagram and YouTube are getting more and more subscribers every day. Your smartphone has made it easy to get pictures and videos, wherever you are.

This is great news for businesses. Videos are an amazing marketing tool because people love watching them. It’s more entertaining than plain text and shows more than a picture could. There’s movement and sound that make it more engaging, and you are able to pack a lot of information into a quick video.

Online video marketing is a very cheap alternative to standard advertising. It is a powerful and effective way to promote different products and services. One video can easily inform, educate and create interest among your audience. With videos, your audience is able to see exactly what your product can do and how it will benefit them.

There is a worry that videos you create have to be Hollywood quality and that a lot of money has to be pumped into the project to make it successful. Don’t focus on those things. Your video should showcase your company/branding and products/services and it can be recorded on a smartphone, if necessary.

There are many free apps that will help you develop online videos quickly and easily, and there are a plethora of sites that will publish it for you, such as, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, yFrog, or Screencast.

YouTube users watch 4 billion videos every day! Astounding! You can search for just about anything on YouTube and trust that someone will have captured it on video. With the right tagging and right community (and a little luck), your video can go “viral” in a matter of hours.

There is no limit to what you can do with video marketing. Video marketing lets you express your company’s personality while simultaneously branding it. It doesn’t matter what business you’re in, video marketing can grow your company. Regardless of how you distribute your videos, just do it.
